General
The idea behind the PEC Sweetfilter is
to provide a localized source of odor
control for cold air roof vents. High efficiency
activated carbon and zeolite mix
canister type absorbers are mounted on
the roof vent. Foul air passes through
the absorber and odors are removed by
the activated carbon and zeolite mix.
Operational
Features
- Activated Zeo-Carbon Filter continuously
cleans circulation air.
- Canister easily slides onto roof
vent.
- Design allows capture of specific gas molecules such as: Ammonia, aldehydes, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, ethylene, hydrogen sulfide, ketones, and mercaptans among others.
- REGENERATION
Unlike other products, Zeo-Carbon has the unique ability of regeneration. Operation takes advantage of exposure to natural fresh air flows, building heat, and sunlight. A few hours of normal building inactivity and its ready to go to work again.
Description
- Air intake grille (A) = 4.25 inches I.D.
- Media canister (B)= 4.6 inches O. D.
- Roof vent pipe coupling connection (C) = 4.50 inches I.D.(invert allows for 2" insert of existing vent stack)
- Overall length (D) =6.0 inches
- Media fill (1lb), ship weight 3.5 lbs
Safety Tips
- UNIT zeo-carbon medias operates near 100% humidity (wet). During long periods of inactive use, no water flow, or inclement weather allow 24 hours for auto-regeneration to occur (see freezing weather recommendations).
- DO NOT store or expose unit to any
source of direct heat such as radiators
or heat vents.
- DO NOT expose unit to any
inflammable liquids/gases as unit will
rapidly absorb them diminishing unit
capacity
- DO NOT store units in an
unventilated area. Stored units will
produce strong odors during
storage.
- The unit is most effective
when the
building/vent temperature is above 60F
and below 95F.
- If the inside building temperature is allowed to drop
below 60F ice may form on any vent stack,
above 95F odor absorbtion is reduced.
Maintenance
- Annually inspect and clean the air
intake grille.
- Visually inspect the units after
inclement or freezing weather to insure proper
operation (ie: not buried under snow pack, leaves, etc.).

Installation
- Run water down all plumbing drains regularly to insure water seals are full and working. Water seals dry out quickly in unused floor drains and allow gas to vent indoors. We recommend that infrequently used drains recieve a quarterly application of our www.aerotrap.com liquid. Aerotrap liquid lasts in drain traps for 3-6 months stopping odor from venting inside and killing odor producing bacteria found in drain traps and piping.
- Remove 1-3" optional reducer bushing from ("C" Roof vent pipe coupling connection) and discard if vent stack is larger than 3".

- Remove bottom screws from "C" counter-clockwise (1-5 screws depending on model), place unit on vent
stack,
and replace screws clockwise until unit is secure.
- Some Zeo-Carbon dust loss during
transportation and installation is normal.
Troubleshooting
- Unit does not work....inspect and
clean the air intake grille.
- Capacity
diminished....short term return of odors is due to overload of filter and online recovery time is needed. Long term, (more than two weeks) return of odors requires larger units and/or recharge of the
activated Zeo-Carbon. Click here to purchase zeo-carbon refill bag... (requires removal of unit intake grill for access to spent zeo-carbon).
