Nearly all municipalities suffer with odor problems from and inflow to manholes. The
main odor culprit is hydrogen sulfide , but other malodorous compounds are
present, as well. The combined problem has not been easy. Treating flow is very
expensive. Systems for treating air require electrical power and/or clean
water. Sealing covers moves the problem down the line or through the vents
of neighboring homes and businesses. These complications are all solved
with PEC™ odor control manhole inserts and click here for
INFLOW PROTECTORS .
Odor control manhole inserts provide generous venting through
X PELLETS™, the patented oxidizing/polishing media. Oxidation is
accomplished with chlorine dioxide technology. Chlorine dioxide is an
extremely powerful oxidizing agent. For example, one pound is equivalent
in oxidation power to 2.5 pounds chlorine; 3.8 pounds of potassium
permanganate. Because chlorine dioxide reacts selectively and primarily
with only the most offensive odor producing compounds (hydrogen sulfide,
organic sulfurs, organic amines) X PELLETS™ will normally
provide a much longer service life than products such as activated carbon.
Unwanted reactions do not occur. Power is not needlessly spent. Chlorine
dioxide remains available and ready on demand.
Polishing is accomplished with Countervailant™ technology.
This technology protects against the escape of malodors which can not be
oxidized or readily oxidized. X PELLETS™ technology is a complex and
broadly useful chemistry. It incorporates polymeric adsorption and
electrostatic bonding technologies. Polishing and oxidizing are
accomplished simultaneously. The result is safe, extremely effective,
broad-spectrum malodor control.
PEC™ inserts are made to last. They are guaranteed for
three years against manufacturing defects. They will not corrode and
require no maintenance.

1. Remove manhole cover and clean rim.
2. Place PEC™ insert on frame rim and add media.
3. Replace cover.
: Be sure to clean the rim thoroughly. Inserts must be
placed on flat, non-rocking surfaces to avoid wear and damage in
high-traffic installations.
Accurate dimensions are essential.(see worksheet below)

HOW TO ORDER
ODOR CONTROL MANHOLE INSERTS
IMPORTANT
Measure each and every manhole for which you are ordering PEC inserts, unless you are absolutely sure of dimensions. Your order will be produced to your supplied dimensions. Errors in instructions received from you may result in unusable inserts for you. The drawing below illustrates the required measurements.
REQUIRED MEASUREMENTS

A – Manhole frame diameter (flat bearing surface)______
B – Inside frame diameter (clear opening)______
C – Drop ring diameter ______
D – Drop ring depth (from cover underside, outside edge)______
Fax these dimensions (A,B,C,D, for each manhole) toll free to 866-422-0018 to receive your quote.
SINGLE UNIT PRICING (shipping is not included)
